Nothing can compare to feeling the warm glow of the sun's reflection on your face while boating.

To smell the salty air and listen to the tranquil lapping of gentle waves against your boat is pure serenity.

The ocean is a wonderful playground whether in a kayak, speedboat, longliner, or tour boat.

Message: Please note our new email. We've moved back and are looking for our Newfoundland Home Thank you for this wonderful site. I am very interested in the history of Twillingate because many of my ancestors lived there. Some of the names in my Twillingate relatives are Manuel, Hicks , Minty, Jenkins. My great great grand parents were Lydia Jane Manuel born 1859 & Thomas Hicks Jr born about 1858. Lydia’s parents were Thomas Manuel born about 1810 and Jean Unknown born about 1811. Thomas’s parents were Thomas Hicks Sr. born about 1818 and Elizabeth Jane Minty born about 1820 Although I was born at Twillingate Hospital and grew up at Comfort Cove, I know very little about my Twillingate Family. I am wondering if anyone has any information to share on the Manuel, Hicks , Minty or Jenkins families who lived at Twillingate in the early 1800’s I would love to have photo’s of my Twillingate ancestors and their families. Thank You very much for any Information on my Twillingate family Margaret Head Major

Message: Hello, I am Axel from Germany. I live in the village Isernhagen. I visited Twillingate August 12th until 14th. For me it was a really fantastic time and my B&Bs were wonderful. After one nigth I moved to Echos of the ocean because Crewes was fully booked. Did I visit the Dinner Theatre and The Split Teas? Of course! The songs of the Split Teas were fantatsic especially "I'm proud to be a newfoundlander (I'm not sure, but I believe it was the name of the song). I try to find this song in Germany but I coulnd't. What a pity! But why I spent my vacation in Newfoundland (Twillingate, Bonavista, Trinity, Burin Penninsula, St Johns)? It's a crazy story. In 2006 my wife bought the movie "Shipping news". I saw the beautiful landscape and I thought spontanenous, hey there I will spent my vacations in 2007. That's why I visited Twillingate, Melvin Horwoods little Museum in Durell and made some wonderful hikes. I'm incredibly pleased when I would get some emails from people ofTwillingate Bye bye Axel

Message: Well done Terry!! I grew up down the Arm and miss the place terribly. My aunt Ada still lives in Blow Me Down and turns 84 this year I believe. I get home when I can and still find it hard to believe how fortunate I am to have spent my early years in NFLD and especially Twillingate a town that gave me so much. God Bless!!
